| A Pennsylvanian who started performing on the radio at age 11, Jeannie Seely is associated almost as strongly with her duet partners  Porter Wagoner, Ernest Tubb, and Jack Greene  as she is with her own music. Her first single, "Don't Touch Me," won her a Grammy in 1967, and she continued to have charting hits for the next 11 years. Most of her material came from fellow country songwriter (and eventual husband) Hank Cochran. She was a cast member of The Grand Ole Opry since 1967.  Brian Mansfield -- All Music Guide |
